Lovely night stay

Excellent place to stay near...

Liked: Location was fantastic for walking between the station and the racecourse. Room was clean. Breakfast excellent. Gardens were well-kept and a lovely place to relax.
Disliked: Beds were a bit firm, but it's difficult to please everyone.

Midweek Break in York

Liked: We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It's a little gem of a hotel and one we will keep coming back to whenever we visit York.
Disliked: The food was delicious but too much on the plate. Smaller portions would be very welcome.

Excellent place to stay. Great...

Liked: Warm greeting when I arrived.Early check in allowed without a quibble.Very reasonable bar prices
Disliked: There were no negatives.

Wheatfield is excellent for short...

Liked: The wheatfield house was lovely from the outside but the room was tiny and 3 floors up
Disliked: Climbing the 3 floors to the tiny room

A gem and a pleasure...

Liked: Beautifully kept and wonderful terrace out the front and the gardens in front of that were were so pretty and well kept too. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accomodating and the breakfast was fantastic. I would love to stay here again! Such a gem in a sea of the soulless hotels you find these days.
Disliked: Nothing
