Expectations versus Reality.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the receptionist named Lisa who went above and beyond to help us with accommodation changes twice in the same evening.
Disliked: Initial room was located on the upper floor with no lift access, this despite when booking a Wheelchair accessible room was requested,.Upon arrival we were relocated to a ground floor room but on this occasion, access was impossible for a wheelchair user.We were then relocated to another room but again struggled to gain access to the room. Only when we were booking out,were we informed that they have One wheelchair accessible room (Unfortunately occupied during our stay).Disabled parking only 2 spaces unfortunately.

It’s a nice place but...

Liked: Nice grounds, nice building, staff were friendly, bed was comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good.
Disliked: The room wasn’t what was in the picture, the wallpaper was peeling off, the shower was held in with tape, the bath side was coming off and leaked all over the floor when showering, the view was of an adjacent rooftop and back alley. The kitchen closed at 9 and the bar at 10.

Liked: Lovely hotel with good food and great staff.
Disliked: The shower controls are difficult to understand. We both independently ended up being sprayed with cold water from the second shower head as we tried to turn the water off.

Liked: The staff were extremely accomodating and the food was lovely. Would highly recommend.
Disliked: The hotel is starting to get a little dated and requires repairs/repainting in areas.

Pleasant

Liked: Staff were very helpful when I asked how long the wedding there was going on for (until 11.45pm) because it was really loud. They moved me to a third floor room
Disliked: It was still loud and I couldn't wander around the grounds. Ended up going out in the car to the chip shop

Lovely setting ,great staff too

Liked: We have been numerous times,enjoying our stays
Disliked: Next time would not get the small double ,no good for two.did explain problem to staff,as a couple of things needed rectified.But will still go back.lovely setting and staff work hard too.
