Westmount Motel

Comfortable

Liked: Extremely friendly and clean are remodelling so a few improvements are needed like a plug in the bathroom and a mirror in the main bedroom area. The place was spotless.
Disliked: Cleanliness price and location. It was very quiet at night. Also had a working pool for so many places advertised now and don’t have.

Liked: The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Airconditioning a little bit loud

Good place to stay!

Liked: Friendly staff. The beds were comfortable. Generally, the motel and the room seems well maintained. Everything in the room was in working condition.
Disliked: The floor was not clean.

I will return here because...

Liked: The room was cool whenever returning to it. The great location on the outer edge of town. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were kind and accomodating. The bathroom was very clean. The price was what it needed to be.
Disliked: The room smelt like a strong..cleaning product and whatever was in the air conditioner. Leaving the windows open at night helped dissippate the smell. The sink is not in the same room as the toilet.

Enjoyable.

Liked: I loved the hill top location and room next to the pool.
Disliked: The pool was not available to swim in.

We didn't stay because we...

Liked: Nothing. We didn't stay there.
Disliked: We searched for a motel in Woodstock, Ontario, on Booking.com, using the "Pet Friendly" filter. Westmount came up in that search and we booked for one night. I sent a message to them to confirm that pets were allowed and they said yes. The day before we were to stay there, Westmount wrote to say they didn't allow pets. I contacted Booking.com by phone (it took three attempts to speak to a person). He said his name was "Lester." He attempted to call Westmount, and when he called back he said no one answered. I have called Westmount; no answer. I have written to Westmount; no response. Because the motel informed us that pets weren't allowed less than a day before we were to stay there, we made arrangements elsewhere (not in Woodstock). Westmount OWES US THE TOTAL PRICE OF THAT ONE NIGHT'S STAY. Booking.com is EQUALLY CULPABLE because they listed this pathetic motel as "pet friendly." We have used Booking.com for years. NEVER AGAIN. Travelers, DO NOT stay at Westmount Motel and DO NOT use Booking.com. Otherwise, we had a pleasant trip across southern Ontario, which we've have been doing for decades.
