Stunning location rooms can be...
Liked: Location is fabulous and some rooms are really nice. On the upside we were moved to a very nice room for the last day. It’s frustrating as it’s my 4th stay at the hotel and they have some great rooms if u can get one.
Disliked: The first room we had was poor. Curtains a bad fit it’s light for long periods so u need curtains that fit. No bedside table on 1 side of the bed and definitely not worth the £250 night we paid.

It was a great experience...
Liked: It was classy in an old and dignified way. The staff were exceptional , and the food was top notch. It was well located, with plenty of good restaurants and activities within walking distance. I did not feel out of place wearing Highland Dress. They had live folk music one night which I enjoyed greatly. I was sad to leave when it was time to go home.
Disliked: The only drawback was that there was no elevator, and we were on the third floor, but the inconveniences paled compared with what was good.

Great location and views, friendly...
Liked: Great location and views, friendly staff, comfortable room and bed, spacious lounges and game room fr relaxed no with friends, good restaurant and delicious food.
Disliked: Climbing 3 flights of stairs after all day cycling the Isle, but being an old Victorian hotel that comes in the package with ambiance.

Tourist trap!
Liked: The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, perched high above the charming town of Tobermory, offering breathtaking views that are hard to beat.Unfortunately, the positives end there.
Disliked: At £340 per night for a standard double room, you expect a certain level of quality, but we received quite the opposite. The room was utterly rundown and in desperate need of renovation. The mattresses were sagging, and the bed slid away from the wall whenever we leaned against it. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable. Worst of all, the heating didn’t work, and despite reporting this issue to the staff, no one bothered to address it.We’re incredibly disappointed that we paid so much for such a subpar experience. This place feels like an absolute tourist trap, and we wouldn’t recommend it based on our stay.

Fabulous location
Liked: The views from my bedroom and the dinning room and terrace across the harbour and sea were outstandingly beautiful. The staff particularly the male receptionist were very helpful and friendly. My room was also bright, spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: I was disappointed that there was not a cosy bar to sit in.The bar was situated in the dinning area and was just functional. There were two other rooms that were OK but a bit formal and there was the room that had been redesigned for a tv show which I felt looked uninviting, tatty, dark and cold. The dinning area made up for these rooms by its beautiful elevated position with panoramic views of Tobermory Bay.
