Liked: The hotel is right beside Ayr racecourse and is in a very quiet locality. We stayed in a room in the courtyard just beside the main hotel - a very large comfortable room with tea & coffee facilities. There is a huge car park available. The dining room is in the main hotel and we had a very pleasant dinner with a wide choice. Breakfast was truly exceptional with a choice of a buffet offering or "cooked to order" dishes which were superbly presented. Everything was top class and offered at very reasonable prices, I would this hotel to anyone looking for a great base in Ayr.

Nice place in main hotel...

Liked: Beautiful house that the main hotel is in, nice area and backs on to the golf course.
Disliked: I stayed in a seperate area which was more like a travel lodge but it was ok, the beds were badly pushed together so had a gap and the curtains was a pull down blind which was quite poor. The breakfast isn’t worth it if you are vegan as everything is meat, I did ask on arrival if there was vegan options and was told there was but that was just beans. The staff were friendly but they didn’t let you get your own toast so by the time that comes out breakfast was cold.

Disliked: Service at mealtimes was spasmodic - drink with meal never arrived and was on the bill at the end.
