Lovely an definitely would stay...
Liked: The property was very inviting, staff were more than helpful especially with the trouble I had with getting in and out of the car park. The room was lovely especially the bathroom.
Disliked: Honestly absolutely nothing an that’s the truth.

I might recommend but would...
Liked: great location. nice facility but entering with suitcases was awkward. heat in room was hard to control. couldn’t leave window open because of noise of people outside up to 3:00am!
Disliked: staff was friendly but knowledge about transportation was uneven.

The City of Amsterdam...in True...
Liked: We liked the location of the hotel as it was near a park and still close-by to the Schipol airport. It was also within 5 minutes of the tram system. The rooms and corridors were clean and nicely designed. The bed was comfortable, the tv was a good size, and the bathroom was very nice with consistent hot water. The tub was big, making it possible to enjoy some R&R when needed after a long travel throughout the city. The front desk was very courteous and friendly, making our stay even more comfortable. We loved the decor and the fashion vibe they had going on with art and mannequins.
Disliked: It was inconvenient that the pool was closed during our stay but understandably so for maintenance. We visited the hotel restaurant on 5/3/2024 and were not as impressed. My fiancee's steak meal took over half an hour as there was miscommunication between the chef and wait staff as to the delivery of the plate to the correct guest which made her more "hangry". Additionally, no one checked on her since they seated and took her order. The meals were also small and expensive with the Picanha steak costing 29,50 euros. The air-conditioner in the room was very lackluster despite maxing the setting. We wound up opening up the window as it was cooler outside and I made a call to the front desk for it to be investigated but upon returning to the room, there seem to be no improvement. We also thought it was weird and inconvenient to not have the toilet in the same room as the sink, but we are tourists and perhaps that is an integral design of Amsterdam hotels.

Far from city, not comfy...
Liked: The room was clean and it was a silent location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The weirdest part of our stay was the fully transparent glass bathroom door - showering like that is OK but having to go to toilet fully visible by your husband and having zero privacy is not ideal. The toilet was also very visible from the mirror in the room so we had to leave the room when the other one had to use the toilet. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Neither I nor my husband had a good night’s sleep. The room also lacked the vanity kit. It was waaaay too far from the city center, around 40-60 minutes by walking depending on where you are going. It is also far from the Lelylaan train station (15 minutes but difficult to walk with luggage in hand). The location is a newly built district, full of construction sites so I would not feel safe walking at night.
