Very good

Inconvenient bathroom

Liked: Good location, nice staff, cheaper than most.
Disliked: The semi-private bathrooms are not convenient at all. Some don't have light, some can't close, some are flooded, and all have only cold shower. I'm not new to hostels or BnB with shared bathroom, and I always stayed at the Salisbury YMCA Hong Kong (with private bathroom and very expensive), this YMCA however, has the worst shared bathrooms ever.

Liked: The location was great - near subway and easy to get to my points of interest.The room was simple, clean and, as a woman travelling alone, I felt safe which is what I was looking for.
Disliked: The sound of the air conditioner was loud for the cool air output it provided. There could have been locks or an indication of occupation on the toilet doors and one of the shower heads was missing..

Liked: The place is very well located, with access to many subway lines at Columbus Circle. The rooms are small but have basic equipment, including a mini fridge. There are enough bathrooms, we didn't experience lines to use them in the morning or at night.
Disliked: Some stuff requires maintenance: some bathroom doors don't close/lock, lights don't work, etc., blinds in the room cannot be put up.

We loved the locatiom near...

Liked: Clean and functional room. Access to gymand pool was a bonus to us. Fridge and safe inside room was great. Bathrooms were being cleaned continuously. Great we were given a room away from the restrooms as that would have been noisy.
Disliked: Noisy air conditioner which we had to have on all night due to the heat. Tiny window and not a great view, facing other rooms so had to keep curtain down with no natural light..tge slamming of doors kept wakimg us up.

Good value for money, great...

Liked: Great location, gym and swimming pool available at no extra cost. Was a bit worried about shared private barhroom, but these were clean most of the time and always available.
Disliked: Room service offers change of sheets every four days, no one came for a week, we requested it two days in a row. Room was a bit below average. I would suggest to make a laundry room, I would be happy to pay extra for laundry. The other thing missing was breakfast or at least a coffee maker.
