Liked: We had the house to ourselves as sole guests. It was bliss. The location is quiet. Had the best sleep in ages . Owner could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. We loved the breakfasts, Inc fresh fruit and a yummy yoghurt mix. Cooked breakfasts were huge! they were the best we had in the UK during our trip. The area had so much to see. Bowes museum, castles, manor houses. Great towns near. Good pub 5 mins drive away.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: It was like staying in a stately home - very comfortable
Disliked: It was all lovelyI needed a slightly bigger bath - will have to stay I one of the other rooms next time!

Luxury beside the A66

Liked: Quirky luxury accommodation.
Disliked: Advertised with cake on arrival handmade chocolates and biscuits - none of which appeared. No bottles of wine in honesty bar.

Luxurious, exciting and personal

Liked: Beautiful house and garden, amazing breakfast and superb rooms, great atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and helpful to recommend places to visit in the area. We were also given the opportunity to make specific requests for our breakfast, which made for a luxurious experience! The Richmond suite is absolutely beautiful and has a breathtaking (bathroom) interior. We left the place with thankful hearts.

The room was very nice. We were told there wasnt a remote for the tv. Which was a nuisance.The welcome pack says homema

Liked: The property was very traditional and lovely decor.
Disliked: Had to drive to get an evening meal. Which wasnt ideal.2 pubs nearby. 1 of which is booked up for weeks. So no realistic choice of local eateries. None within safe walking distance.
