West End Hotel

Very pleasant stay - absolutely...

Liked: Bed was very comfortable and clean. Highlight was definitely the amazing staff who went above and beyond, gave us recommendations for the area and even posted my partners wallet back when he left it there. Exactly what you expect out of a hostel, we stayed in the double bed sharing room and didn't have a problem with any of the people.Short walk from main town - we stayed for the Fringe and found it a lovely location, if you don't mind the walking.
Disliked: Double bed bathroom was tiny, difficult to change in it ect. Ultimately not too bad and very doable especially as we weren't staying to long.

Liked: Close to the stadium. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Price is good. Facility is clean.
Disliked: The access to the bed was not comfortable because ladder steps are thin and hurt bare feet. There's no place to keep your clothes such as hangers. No mirror in the bathroom. Guiness served in the bar is the worst I ever tried. Wifi was extremely poor, and the mobile network in the room was not connecting.

Liked: The staff were really nice and friendly and always helped when asked
Disliked: Bathroom facility's could've been better but what's there is definitely fine

Liked: FANTASTIC staff, especially Lucas. He was incredible with helping me in everyway. Lucas went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Very clean, great cooking facilities, bar and courtyard. Thank you so much Lucas

Liked: The hosts Lucas and Pip were great company and very helpful.
Disliked: Maybe the presence of only mixed showers.

Whole lotta value for money,...

Liked: Staff very helpful. Pip checked me in and gave all information needed to make my stay easy.Value for money given Fringe still in full swing, and the 55,000 extra folk (me included) for the ACDC concert at Murrayfield. Every other option seemed to be £350 plus!Location great as halfway between city and Murrayfield. Showers hot and bathroom clean.
Disliked: Could do with a hand drying for sink use. Shower cubicles could use a spruce up.

Good location, very clean, quiet,...

Liked: Very clean and quiet. good location.
Disliked: no secure locker or drawer in the room to store bags. Cramped room with no area for bags and no curtanis on beds. Quite exposed. Everyone keeps to themselevs, not a place to go if your're looking to meet people and looking for a place to make friends. Breakfast looked poor.
