Don't trust what advertised. Not...

Liked: I really liked the location of the hotel, room was clean and bed comfy. When I went and asked about whether or not I had got the right room, as its was quite different to what expected, staff were really easy to talk to, helpful, understanding, and honest. Breakfast had quite a good selection and had gluten free bread when I asked, and even toasted it out back separate to toaster at the buffet.
Disliked: My room didn't match what was advertised on ad/photos or even close. I booked the Superior Single room, in which photos and description showed quite a moderately modern big room with large single bed, and bathroom comes with 'walk in shower and bath'. However my room was really small and not as nice looking, bathroom was small, with small shower, and no bath. My room was more like a standard single room ideal for a teenager. I wouldn't expect to pay the same as someone who was lucky enough to get one of the bigger nicer superior single room as advertised, it is extremely unfair and guests loose trust in the hotel. I did check reviews beforehand, and some reviews were good for single room, showing large room as shown on ad and larger bathroom with bath. I won't be staying here again for sure. The ad for single room has now changed to showcasing a bathroom with a walk-in shower (my shower though was still smaller than this). When I went to complain within half an hour of checking in, staff were very understanding and admitted others guest had complaint about same issue. Another issue was there was a half eaten croissant outside my room from when I arrived until the day from previous guest. My room was £289 per night.

Liked: Location is great. Facility updates are noticeable.Lighting controls in room are not consistent. Some switches work. Others do not. Time for a maintenance update.
Disliked: As per our previous visit a week ago, it still appears the staff may not be getting the support they need to fulfill guest's expectations. Running out of stock at the bar is a good example. Procurement practices could use improvement. Staff are working around the shortages, but I should've been able to order 2 separate beverages without being they were both out of stock. Unacceptable at a busy bar.
