Disliked: Double room set up for one person, not enough milk , tea etc. Didn’t find the second towel set hidden in wardrobe until we were leaving.

Liked: I liked the character of the building and it had spacious grounds and plenty of parking. I didn’t eat there as I was seeing family.
Disliked: The furnishings were maybe a little tired.

Liked: Grounds around the hotel are pleasant and with ample parking and charging facility. The room was located in a quiet part of the hotel away from the busy road, which we asked for. Comfortable bed meant a good nights sleep.
Disliked: The room smelled a bit when we went in, I suspect the bed cover and carpets are in need of a deep clean. The old part of the hotel is looking very tired, there are worn carpets in the hallways and the curtains would benefit from being cleaned. The cooked breakfast buffet was ok but the sausages and black pudding were a bit solid and pretty inedible. Some of the reception staff were unfriendly and not particularly welcoming, it costs nothing to smile!The dinner menu was limited and definitely lacking in vegetable content.
