The Spotlight on Waypoint Hotel

Relaxed Boutique Vibes in the Heart of Bend

Waypoint Hotel is a stylish boutique stay located just off Highway 97 in Bend’s Mid-Town district. With its modern-rustic decor, outdoor fire pits, and cozy communal spaces, this hotel blends comfort with a laid-back Oregon vibe. Whether you’re in town for a concert, a weekend getaway, or an adventure in the nearby mountains, Waypoint Hotel makes a great base.
Its central location puts you within walking distance to over 100 restaurants, local brewpubs, and even a distillery—perfect for pre- or post-show plans.

Why Concert-goers love it

Just minutes from Bend’s most popular music venues, Waypoint Hotel offers a central location with easy access to shows and local nightlife. The 12:00pm checkout gives you plenty of time to sleep in after a late night, and the quiet Mid-Town location offers a peaceful place to crash. There's also ample parking and rideshare access for easy late-night returns.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to explore Bend’s music and brewery scene
  • Solo travelers chasing down a bucket-list artist
  • Couples enjoying a music-filled weekend
  • Fans seeking a quieter recovery space after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want boutique flair

Food and Drink Options

The lobby bar pours 8 local brews and ciders on tap, and there’s an on-site comfort food truck to satisfy your post-show cravings. With 100+ dining spots just a short walk away—including MidCity Smash Burger and Black Bear Diner—you’ll never go hungry. While there’s no 24-hour room service, the local food scene easily fills the gap. Breakfast options are nearby for those slower mornings.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, it’s right in the mix of Bend’s brewpub and bar scene. You’re close to everything from casual taprooms to more energetic downtown clubs. The hotel’s own outdoor fire pits offer a chill way to wind down with a drink in hand.

What People Say

Guests love the modern design, friendly staff, and the hotel’s balance of affordability and boutique quality. Many mention the great location—not too far from the action, but quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The on-site food truck is also a crowd favorite.

Areas for Improvement

There’s no elevator, so if you’ve got heavy gear or luggage, request a ground-floor room. Some guests note that parking can get a bit tight during peak weekends, so plan ahead if arriving late.

The Bottom Line

Waypoint Hotel is a cool, comfortable, and well-located option for concert-goers who want to enjoy the music scene without sacrificing a good night’s rest.

Very good

Liked: Loved the online check in and out system. Very clean and modern. Lots of outlets. Crib we requested was already in the room when we arrived.
Disliked: No extra lock at the top of the door, just a regular lock. Walkway between beds and shelf was a little tight so felt a little crowded.

Awesome summer base camp location

Liked: The property was very well updated, very clean, cool and funky. While it’s summertime, I love that inside every room there is a ski and snowboard organizer for your gear.

Disappointed, overly priced! I feel...

Liked: This place is overpriced for what it is!It is a motel model and booking site ad was decieving. The place vibe is like staying at a motel. The only nice area is the entrance/reception.
Disliked: For a $400 a night for 2 beds it was so overly priced! The thread count of the sheets were rough, not good , comfortable bedding. Rough to the skin.the carpet was rough, it was like sandpaper when you decided to go bare feet. The quality of the toiletries low gradeThey charged water cans that were left in the room. For $400 you would expect at least courtesy waterthe walls were not soundproof! We could hear it all! There was stomping , babyes crying, guest getting out their rooms throwing the doors ( which is an issue of the hotel as the doors should not be able to close without a system that slows the door down)The overall look of the place is like a motel and they have hyped it up. Dont understand why they would charge this much for a room!

Fun comfortable stay while passing...

Liked: Rooms were accurate as described. Front desk had a number of beers on tap for purchase, but the hotel bar has 3 dollar pint specials for guests. Location is walking distance to the last Blockbuster Video Store and the Midtown Yacht Club for some good food trucks and local beers.
