It done the job

Liked: The breakfast area was spacious with good selection
Disliked: We felt the room was rather tired although bathroom was quite modern

Liked: 1. The hotel is in poor condition throughout 2. No hot water in the room either from taps or electric shower3. The hotel smell was pungent with old greedy food The staff where pleasant and helpful

Friendly Welcome

Liked: Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My room was upgraded from a single to a double at no extra cost. Location was very quiet. Very near to town centre. Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Although I had free parking, in busier times this might be a problem.

Liked: It’s a really old building so you have to expect some quirks, the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Janet who seems to be there 24 hours a day!! The food was home cooked and very tasty.

Needs major refurb. Very very...

Liked: The staff were cheery and helpful. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room was pleasant.
Disliked: The hotel stairways are disgusting. Dirtiest I have ever seen. My room (room 5) was very tired and looked like a full refurb is long overdue. Stayed here for a long time over the years but wont be going back. Looks like its been used for contractor accommodation. Not good at all.
