Exceptional

With a little attention to...

Liked: The breakfast was well-prepared and presented. I liked that the order was taken the night before, so everything flowed more smoothly. There was enough variety to satisfy both my wife and I. It was nice to have choices about time, too. The staff members were very friendly.
Disliked: We visited this property previously, when it was under different ownership. The facility is still very nice, and has been expanded with the new owner (winery, cafe), but the attention to detail has slipped. The rooms weren't as clean as we had come to expect, there were multiple light bulbs out of order throughout the building, and the snack room hadn't been adequately restocked.

Cranberry mimosas, an awesome antique...

Liked: The inn is calm and quaint. Beautiful scenery. Lots of collectibles. Breakfast was outstanding. We arrived later than expected from DC and the inn staff was kind enough to let us order a pizza which was excellent.
Disliked: I enjoyed everything about this inn and I have stayed at well over a hundred. It’s definitely not modern but rustic, very clean and comfortable! The grounds are beautiful.

Very poor

Disliked: We booked a night at the Inne at Watson's Choice. As we arrived in the evening everything was dark, no other guests, the reception closed. We were not able to check-in and tried to call the hotel, but we were told that we dialed the wrong number. We claimed that case at the booking.com customer service, but they did not get an answer from the hotel. The next days we wrote a e-mail to the hotel, no response since then. Our money is lost, in addition to the extra costs and the trouble of booking another hotel for this night.

Very quiet and comfortable

Liked: Beautiful area, quiet and peaceful, comfortable bed and amenities
Disliked: I found the hostess / owner lady a little off putting, she was brusque and a bit rude. She wanted everything to be good for us and it was lovely but she made me feel irritated.

Comfortable stay in an interesting...

Liked: Breakfast was not overly generous but it was very tasty.
Disliked: We couldn't adjust the temp in our room ourselves. It was chilly.

Exceptional

Liked: The property is extensive and beautiful. The owners are absolutely lovely folks. Soooo clean!
Disliked: The only negative is that the windows in the room do not open - there’s great central air but it would have been nice to crack the windows and listen to the crickets.

Liked: Beautiful grounds, great breakfast. Liked the outdoor patio area especially.
Disliked: The property emailed us an arrival confirmation request at 11:45 am the day of our arrival. We were in the car en route, not checking email. We had previously stated a 2 to 3 pm arrival time. Arrived at 1:45, was not allowed to check in until 3pm. This despite being one of only 2 parties at the entire property. There are absolutely no dining places nearby other than a few fast food.
