Liked: Food was well presented and tasty. Room was spacious and clean. We stayed on the island with good views all round..
Disliked: 1st night food service was slow, about 1hr for main course. Piles of rubbish in car park, spoilt the image of a class hotel.

Beautiful location, just costly

Liked: Location is stunning, room and bed clean and very comfortable, food was excellent, staff friendly and spa was very nice... if an unexpected additional cost.
Disliked: Unfortunately, it wasn't made clear when booking that the spa was an additional rather sizeable cost (I've never known a spa hotel not to include access to the facilities, only treatments).

Lovely setting and very pleasant...

Liked: Professional and caring staff. Lovely location and setting.
Disliked: Poor quality food, hardly fine dining. Not informed the meat was Halal - this is not acceptable as we would not have chosen not to have it.Pool and spa should be included for hotel guests. Ridiculously expensive to go for a swim - needs a rethink. Unable to put drinks/food bill on the room - having to constantly pay for extras at the time.

Disliked: I got horrendous food poisoning . We had paid for 2 nights and they wouldn’t refund my 2 nd night . I contacted booking . Com too and am still waiting a response .

Wonderful Waterton Park Hotel Walton

Liked: The helpfulness of the staff. The very scenic location of the hotel.
Disliked: On the approach to the hotel the narrow lane uses the old fashioned very hard speed bumps. Yes to traffic calming measures on a road of that nature. But those ancient strips need to be replaced with something more modern. Even driving at a very slow speed the affect on the passengers is very jarring. Also not good for a modern car's suspension. Perhaps it's an unadopted road and the hotel cannot do anything about the speed bumps.

Disliked: The room was hot with no option to turn the heat down
