Hotel location, facilities and staff...

Liked: Very well presented; lovely lounge area. Good outside areas. Lovely breakfast and evening meal.
Disliked: We did not realise that the room we booked had no windows. The light tunnel did have a blind, as the room was very bright in the morning - however the blind did not work! I would not knowingly have booked a room without natural light, especially for a five day stay.

Value for money was so...

Liked: Nothing given the price. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was decent but in light of the room rates it simply wasn’t good enough.
Disliked: Value for money. I understand you pay a premium to be in a good location. But it has to be reasonable. We had one of the rooms without balcony (the picture obviously is a room including a balcony, the description will tell you only some of them have one), the rooms are dated, with the usual smell of old carpet you can expect from a room last renovated a significant time ago. Just not good enough for £350 a night.

Liked: Customer service especially in the Rocks restaurant. Beautiful views of the sea. Breakfast and dinner was great. Shower was very powerful and nice modern bathroom.
Disliked: Sea view room 26. Window looking out to the sea didn’t look like it was cleaned. Receptionist said it could be the mist but I wasn’t convinced.Didn’t like the old dated look of the furniture distressed. I prefer a more modern look.Consider the price was over £340 for just a night.

Sea, sunsets, scenery, and delicious...

Liked: The location, views and overall feel of the hotel are perfect for a relaxed but extremely civilised seaside break. Lovely restaurant with amazing views of sunset over the sea and really very good food; friendly, professional and helpful staff. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool and garden / terrace is lovely, and spa treatments are good value and quality. Don't miss the walk round Morte Point for lovely scenery and seal-spotting.
Disliked: There was nothing that was unreasonable for the size of the hotel. One can always think of more facilities that would be nice, but that's not really the reason to go to this hotel. It is more about old fashioned comforts and fantastic scenery.
