Liked: Staff in restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Room service opened my door without knocking and announcing themselves

Liked: Perfect location for discovery Cork Lovely buffet breakfast and we enjoyed our evening meal
Disliked: Out room was above the the hotel entrance and was extremely noisy as guests were leaving

Far exceeded my expectations, loved...

Liked: Loved every bit of our stay! Room 5 had an amazing view and was really large. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Disliked: I could not work out how to turn the floor lamp on in our room (number 5)

Visit by a solo traveller...

Liked: The location, the balcony, the room, the food, Cobh and excellent train access to Cork. Parking under the hotel. Very good service from staff.
Disliked: I struggled with my suitcase, being rather lame. A member of staff volunteered to take it up for me when I asked about a lift on arrival. I should have asked someone to bring it down for me. I would go back.

Good for a 1 night...

Liked: Great location right on the waterfront with easy access to the town and port. Free underground parking (although FYI the spaces are tight - better suited to smaller cars). Friendly staff and very clean with spacious rooms.
Disliked: It's a basic property but it is only a 3 star so that's to be expected. The shower is dated (above a bath) and not very powerful, the bed wasn't the most comfortable but adequate and there were holes in one of my towels (although it was spotlessly clean).
