Waters Edge The Strand

Great view and location but...

Liked: The location and view were superb. Also had a great secure car park.
Disliked: Note in room saying not to turn off Air conditioner. It was blowing straight on us in bed and very cold even when turned up. The Plumbing was very ordinary. Hot water intermittent and toilet blocked a lot from water coming down pipes from other rooms. Toilet had a foul odour and was unstable. Not fastened to the floor. Tile hanging off ceiling

Disliked: My sons upstairs room was opposite elevator, and bit noisey as patrons came home from footy at night

Liked: Location is great
Disliked: We didn't need anything, but staff were non-existent. Rooms are ok but old, a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment to justify the price.

Liked: Everything with the room was great. The view from the balcony was wonderful for relaxing and people watching while I enjoyed my morning cup of tea. The proximity to the beach the swimming areas, the many choices of eating and coffee/tea restaurants plus the walking path along the beach of the Strand were big bonuses.
Disliked: The shower floor was very slippery when wet the tile was smooth with no safety stickers or roughing and I didn't feel safe whithout putting a towel on the shower floor when showering. I am a senior 81yo and a fall could have resulted in serious injury.
