Liked: Staff were nice, breakfast too
Disliked: The communal shower on the top floor was out of service. So I had to use the shower on the floor below, so instead of sharing a shower facilities with 2 other rooms, I was also sharing them with those on the floor below. There was no soap in the soap dispenser in the working shower. When advised, staff didn't fill up the dispenser, but provided me with my own soap, meaning the next person to use the shower will not have soap?It was a very hot summers day and the room was very warm. the provided fan did not work

Overall very comfortable bed and...
Liked: The location was perfect because it was located directly opposite the sea, which was lovely. The mattress in the bedroom was very comfortable very nice couldn’t have fault that at all.
Disliked: 1. No customer car park you had to pay a pound display of nearby car park.2. No female showers or toilets available they were out of order. I had to use the male shower and it was not good. The actual shower room was tiny. Couldn’t get dry in there, was the size of a cupboard. 3. No sink in the shared toilet, which was very unhygienic4. No Staff there on checkout , so no one to talk to.5. Curtains were filthy with stains and were very thin so sunlight came through the curtains very easily.6. The table in which the kettle was on was low down you had to sit on the floor to make yourself a cup of tea which isn’t ideal with people are disabled or elderly.

Poor accommodation, wouldn't return or...
Liked: Breakfast was good.
Disliked: As stated in other reviews, this hotel is in need of renovation. I had booked a room (11) without paying attention to the fact that it had no ensuite shower or toilet - who knew that was possible in 2025? The "communal" shower on the 1st floor has a male symbol on the door but it turns out that's the only shower. I had also booked a double en-suite for my Dad so I decided to shower in his room (12). Sadly, it was just a trickle of cold water and no shower gel. I then paid an additional £20 to upgrade to a room (5) with an en-suite bathroom. The shower worked but the hairdryer didn't.My Dad is 82. Room 12 is on the 2nd floor up some steep stairs with a very rickety bannister. There's no lift. It wasn't ideal. The reception is not permanently staffed. When we returned from our party, an alarm was going off in reception with nobody to verify the fault (smoke/sound outside room 19) or switch off the alarm.Overall, a poor experience for the money.

Great location but expensive for...
Liked: The location is brilliant. Right on the beautiful seafront and so close to high street.
Disliked: The room was dirty, filled with useless pieces of mismatched furniture and had really poor placement of plugs. We had to move the bed and unplug bedside lamps just to be able to charge our phones. We were travelling with a 1 year old and it was impossible to child proof the room from hazards and dirty objects.

Liked: The location was brilliant and the food was great
Disliked: Had to move rooms as continuous droning noise from chimney. Rooms were dusty shower was mouldy shower holder was in a position that you couldn’t stand under it . Bed creaked and groaned every time u moved . Wind whistled through cracks in glass. Had to wait 15 mins for someone to come and check us in.
