Excellent location, clean and comfortable...

Enjoyable and close to all...

Liked: Staff very flexible. My visit was during the heatwave and was very warm. I was provided with a new fan an I was able to sleep. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable. The staff were very good and dealt with my needs excellently.
Disliked: The only down side was the shower was not brilliant and does need looking in to

Not a hotel you would...

Liked: Great location and efficient check in, the staff were very communicative
Disliked: Hotel felt very tired and in need of some TLC, public spaces (halls and restaurant) were seriously overheaded to the point that you really did want to spend any time there. The shower in the bathroom was terrible. Breakfast was very underwelming. The location was great however and thr room itself was OK.

Liked: Breakfast very good, Room no shower or toilet and the share shower was a accident waiting to happen. the mixer tap was not fit for purpose, after running for 5-8 mins the hot water was boiling add cold water it went freezing not good for seventy one year olds, excellent location.
Disliked: mixer tap and no curtains to draw

Nowhere near the standard expected...

Liked: The location is perfect, just across the road from the seafront and pier. Our room had a seaview. There was also tea & coffee making facilities. Breakfast was cooked well and tasted nice.
Disliked: Customer service was non existent. A sign on a locked door greeted us asking for a number to be called to check in. A person, for whom English wasn't his first language, then answered the door and immediately started repeating the amount we needed to pay up front. There was little other communication. At breakfast we were left seated for 5 minutes before we asked if we could get a coffee. We were then presented with 2 black coffees with no milk or teaspoons provided, leaving us having to call the waitress back again. When our food order was eventually taken and the breakfast arrived, it came with toast, but no butter, so we had to ask for that as well. On check out, the staff at reception barely acknowledged us as we left the room key.As for the room, the bed was tiny, barely a double. The duvet was even smaller and didn't cover us both. Of the 3 ceiling lights in the bathroom, only 1 worked and there were dirty marks on one of the towels. The TV, had numerous channels listed, of which only 2 could get a sufficient signal to watch. Sadly, I could not recommend this hotel, especially at the price we paid of £130 for the night

We would never stay there...

Liked: Breakfast was good but the service was slow and drawn out, toast not served with breakfast, came after id finished eating.The waitress was good hearted and pleasant but obviously poorly trained.
Disliked: We arrived after 4 pm, told by male receptionist that we had not paid and he requested full payment. We showed him evidence of payment Mastercard Statement on line. He gave me the key, found the room dirty, bed not made, it had not been cleaned from the last resident. Complained to the male receptionist, who then attempted to remake the bed with the soiled sheets and pillow cases. We complained. We had now wasted 40 minutes to this point. We left our cases in the room to attend an urgent appointment.We returned two hours later, to find the room rudimentary cleaned to a poor standard.No toilet paper in the WC, waste bin overflowing with ladies used hygiene products evident. shower room dirty, shower soap and shampoo dispensers empty. Since our last stay there two years ago the standards have plummeted!

Liked: I have stayed at this hotel many times and as ever the cooked breakfast was very good and freshly cooked, so hot. However the cereal room looked depleted and not up to its usual standard.
Disliked: The shower soap container in the shower was empty and as I arrived late at approx 2130 there had been plenty of time to fill it but clearly it was missed.Breakfast room didn't look up to its usual well laid up standard.
