Disliked: We asked for a quiet room, we were piut in a room and outside the window was a heating system which seemed to be on all night

Part two of our visit...

Liked: Our first stay the week before was really good Especially the snug bar
Disliked: Our second visit a week later was awful. As returning visitors we were giving an upgrade by the lovely guy on reception.When we got into the room, it looked like the bed had been slept in and not changed, We went and asked in reception and he said he was told that the room was definitely ready, We also mentioned that there was no toilet roll and the bins hadn't been emptied.He said he would deal with it.We said we would go and eat in the restaurant and give them a chance to do this , When we got back to the room, the bed had been made,but the sheets had just been thrown on the chair. Also the bin hadn't been emptied and still no toilet roll so my wife had to go and use the toilet in the bar. When we went back the third time,there was toilet rolls but the bins still hadn't been emptied and the sheets were still on the chair. This was 90 mins after we had been allocated the room. Quite unacceptable for such a class hotel. If these are the things that were very visible to us, It makes us worried about the things that we couldn't see in the room etc. I have complained to the hotel about this but they have failed to reply

Liked: Breakfast was great
Disliked: Not too sure if I can say this is a four star hotel compared to other four star hotels I have stayed in. Definitely could do with some maintenance work-paint work in the reception area could do with a refresh.

Underwhelming

Liked: Quite good surroundings. Ok staff
Disliked: Dirty net curtains. Nicest bar was closed. Mediocre breakfast.

Convenient for City and comfortable...

Liked: Easy to get into City. Comfortable room and excellent food. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Our room was noisy as we had high pitched tone from equipment outside our room. We didn’t ask to be moved as short stay. Quite a lot of steps up to reception to carry luggage.
