Superb

Excellent hotel and would recommend...

Liked: Excellent restaurant. Hot breakfast served to order and top class. Dinner was top class. Service and staff very good. Grounds well manicured and maintained.
Disliked: Soft pillows (a general problem with hotels and not just this one). Bathroom was a bit small and WC on a platform.

Disliked: The adjacent bedroom doors and ours could do with some work to prevent them from being so noisy when shut

Liked: Beautiful country house hotel in quiet location but close to local facilities. Fantastic food with generally acceptable service
Disliked: Some staff lacked aplomb you would expect in a 4 star hotel

Disliked: The layout of the room - the TV wasn’t easy to view from one side of the bed and drying hair required you to stand if you wanted to use the mirror because of the location of the socket.

Wonderful place to stay

Liked: Very delicious afternoon tea, sandwiches were well filled and the scones were to die for.Clean room and comfortable bed, not at all noisy and the air con was easy to control, so had a good nights sleep.Full English breakfast was spot on, cooked to order, well cooked and hot when arriving at table
Disliked: The only thing we came across that could have been better was something to hold onto when stepping into the bath for a shower. The bath side was rather high so a grip handle would have been nice for older visitors.

Disliked: It was a very hot night. The lack of air conditioning was a shame. We thought that for the quality of the food the wine list was a bit limited.
