Liked: The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. There were less choices of evening meals but still of very good quality and the bar was well stocked with labels to suit everyone.The room I occupied was a double so for one person there was plenty of space and I wasn’t tripping over anything, the room was light and airy not much of a view but then I had asked for a quiet room so I actually got what I asked for and not a view.The hotel is positioned on a main road and access to and from to the surrounding areas is very good.
Disliked: For me, being on my own at the hotel I can’t pinpoint anything that I didn’t like about the place, may have been different if I’d been with family but even then I don’t think there would not be a reason not to go back.

Liked: It looked very nice frim the outside, reception and the halls outaide the bedrooms
Disliked: Sadly on arrival staff informed me the restaurant was closed. Things like this happen, but maybe they could contact visitors before arrival. The priced charged was still the same. I asked where else in the area could I get food? Staff replied takeout. Then dashed off after telling me where I could find my room. I really wanted to know other pubs or restaurants near by that I could try. The bed was large but the duvet didn't actually fit the bed. The duvet cover being larger than the duvet inside. As a solo traveler this wasn't an issue, this may not be the case for a couple.The lights in the hall kept coming on tboughtout the night, and due to the gap under the door was significant enough to light the room up many times.This hotel needs a lot of refurbishment, not touching up with sealant and filler of which there is many.

Liked: I had a great stay! The room was very clean.The staff were also very helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything I needed.

Up and comimg

Liked: The room was large and clean. It was quiet the check in was straight forward. We needed an undisturbed quiet night to rest after our journey and be ready to continue.It suited us perfectly well.We may well use this hotel again.
Disliked: A fan in the room would have been good as this old hotel is not air conditioned the exterior looks run down in places but new owners are in the process of reviving this quaint looking place.we had no need to usd any hotel facilities so can not comment.

Liked: Location was good for me
Disliked: No hot water for the first 2 nights and no one really knew why, was very hot outside so had very cold showers which were not nice. Could not find anyone to talk to in the morning about any issues. Got a cooked breakfast on the first morning but it was all left out and a lot of the hot stuff was not even warm. Did not bother with breakfast the rest of my stay.
