Very good

Liked: Friendly helpful staff. Country house style in the suburbs
Disliked: There us no lift, but it's a very old historic building.

Great staff and good food....

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.Evening meal - especially on the first night was very enjoyable. Service was excellent and we were never rushed. Mani and Robert were very friendly and attentive.
Disliked: The window catch in our room was broken. My husband did manage to tighten it a bit but it did blow open twice in the night. The room fittings look a bit jaded. The dining room was very dark and gloomy. Obviously the hotel is in transition but the website is out of date and doesn’t give all the relevant information. I hope when it’s finished it is much improved but without price rises. We have stayed twice before and I was a bit disappointed to see the changes as they are now.Some areas of the garden look uncared for.

Liked: Good spacious clean rooms and superb building. Definitely go back again.
Disliked: Great hotel only let down by the waiting staff. I was told to sit at a table outside and they would take my order and after one guys came out and didn't even acknowledge us we went in to order. Staff walked past empty table full of empty glasses and plates and they were empty handed, it made the place look a little untidy. Apart from that the place is great but could be excellent with a little staff training.Thank you
