Superb

Liked: The staff were all really helpful and friendly.The hotel had a lovely swimming pool.Great grounds and terrace.
Disliked: I had to find the dining and breakfast room myself.The dinner menu is not very exciting and never changed over the evenings I was there.

Liked: Location and parking brilliant. Property and garden full of character.Breakfast eggs beautifully cooked.Staff did their best to be helpful mostly.
Disliked: The fact that they took dinner bookings when, without telling us at the time of booking, all they were serving was a very limited and rather indifferent "All-day menu".The fact that one day we were able to take breakfast in the garden and the next day this was categorically refused.On the day we had to have breakfast indoors there were not enough tables in the breakfast room so we and several others were obliged to eat in the bar where the tables were at coffee table height which is difficult, uncomfortable and bad for the digestion.Breakfast coffee was awful, weak as dishwater.Housekeeping did not come to make up the room until after 5pm.The historic grounds were not being cared for. Trees are beautiful but the walled garden and several flower beds were clearly uncared for with lots of plants simply dying. Outside our room there was a bay tree dead in its pot because nobody had bothered to water it.Sadly, the majority of the staff spoke English in such a strongly accented manner that they were very difficult to understand.

Liked: Very tidy & beautifully furnished. Comfortable bed. The staff were very attentive.
Disliked: No a la carte menu at the time of visiting. There is a new part of the restaurant opening, which is needed as the current one is a little tired and small

Disliked: Breakfast minimal fruit on offer,stale bread and croissants..Room a joke for the money..small and bathroom barely useable..building site for breakfast

Disliked: We had an issue on the last day where electric sockets in the room stopped working for some reason but the room was otherwise very good

Disliked: The reception staff were very inefficient Attending Wimbeldon asked them to organize a cab for an early morning departure and found out then did not do itAlso the sink in our bathroom had no hot water was too low as well as the toiletThe bedding was awful we had a twin size duvet on a queen size bedWe did not ask for a handicapped room
