Fantastic luxe stay in the...

Liked: Fantastic location right at the entrance to the Fremantle markets and metres from a huge selection of restaurants. Even though we were right in the middle of thriving Sunday market crowds, the room we had upstairs was super quiet with double glazing. The rooms were tastefully restored old prison warden rooms. Funky features and luxe fittings. The free still and sparkling water was a bonus and the included coffee and pastry breakfast was delicious in the funky bar downstairs.
Disliked: A tiny bit of maintenance required in the bathroom. The grout needed redoing in some places. Also the light and fan in the bathroom were on a sensor, so a little bit annoying when it came on at night disturbing the other person.

Overall it was great. Complementary...

Liked: Quirky, clean and comfortable. Good location.
Disliked: It’s split into 2 buildings and not great security.

Overall a great stay!

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay. The beautifully renovated heritage cottages are charming and well appointed. We appreciated the complimentary access to the minibar and the availability of free still and sparkling water for guests was a nice touch. We also loved the little bar, Gimlet, and had an excellent dinner at the Emily Taylor restaurant. Both added to the experience.
Disliked: The only downside is the hotel is a little hard to find, especially the reception area. We checked in on a market day, and finding parking while figuring out where to go was a bit of a nightmare (you will need patience). Although we booked parking, it wasn’t clear where to go until we found reception.

Liked: Rooms are lovely, hotel is in a great location within Fremantle. Walking distance to FOMO arcade complex for kids, close to hundreds of great restaurants and bars, 10 minute walk to waterfront.Free welcome drink at Gimlet altho we didn’t get a chance to do this.Items in bar fridge (2 beers, 2 soft drinks, a kit Kat and a small red wine bottle) all free.
Disliked: A bit more of an actual breakfast would be good or an explanation of what was possible/included as “breakfast” for guests at Gimlet I.e could juice be substituted for coffee, what types of pastries are available for guests as opposed to customers. And it would be great to have the option of having the coffee and pastries delivered to the rooms.Very noisy at night and early morning with fairly loud air con, rubbish truck, street sweeper etc but this largely part and parcel with central location next to markets.
