Great stay at a hostel...

Liked: It's a hostel. Coed dorm. No issues. Everyone was respectable and friendly. The location is surprisingly good, although the neighborhoods can be a little weird in Houston. There's a coffee shop and a gym around the corner and a lot of places within 1 to 2 mi.

Excellent location, very affordable, and...

Liked: Location was excellent, easy to get to a lot of places via walking or transit, or driving if a little farther. Check in was very easy and I felt safe here. The recommendations for places to eat and sights to see were great as well; I checked some out and they were well worth it.
Disliked: It's a small thing but the bottom bunks didn't have a lot of head space to sit up. I know this isn't really a changeable thing, and so it wasn't a big issue either way. It might just be because I'm a taller person as well, and I found other places to sit too, so no worries there.

Liked: I liked the women's dorm. It was Christmastime and I got the whole room to myself.
Disliked: The location isn't central. I don't love all the silly posters, but I suppose some people do.

Liked: Friendly woman on the desk when I arrived. Very clean and organized and nice house.
Disliked: Only negative I can think of was low water pressure.
