Walsh's is a real gem...

Liked: Lovely comfortable hotel in the centre of town. Plenty of character to the place most noticeable being the spiral staircase to the bedrooms and the lovely small windows , looking out on the street on the landing of the stairs. Al.so a lovely bright restaurant / cafe and a spacious modern bar. Walsh's appears to be the hub for the local community and all ages visit. The staff especially at the reception were friendly and very helpful with any queries we had. We had a meal in the restaurant on sunday evening and it was delicious . Also great bus service to Derry and Belfast from the park and ride centre on the outskirts of the village - bus nearly every hour to both cities . We had a lovely time and hope to return !
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit limited but what was supplied from the kitchen was top class. The toaster and bread that was available for breakfast on sunday morning was removed on monday morning probably due to the fact that only some of the rooms were occupied on sunday night. Also some muesli with the cereals would have being nice.

Liked: Room amazing. A lots of space. Very nice kids have separated are upstairs. Location very easy to find!Friendly staff,beatiful breakfast

Absolutely Terrible !!!

Disliked: Booked a family room with my 4yr old and 10 year old as we had an event early next morning and wanted to b closer to get a good sleep…. However we were located right in the middle of a function room with extremely loud band and DJ afterwards which kept us awake most of the night and the road traffic kept us awake the rest of the night. Outrageous to have anyone placed in them room while there is a party on! Never again!!!

Excellent stay would stay again

Liked: We stayed for a close by wedding lovely hotel and the staff really made it, they were so friendly and more than accommodating. Lovely spacious clean rooms

Liked: Ir was clean and spacious rooms loved that it had a fridge a fan and ironing board in the room and lovely irish toiletries
Disliked: It was a bit dark and dated

Terrible experience

Liked: Very central
Disliked: Family room was located above the bar. Live music and dj played till late.. the room was vibrating with the music and my 9 month old screaming with the noise.. reception was extremely rude when we called down and we were told we should’ve requested a quiet room?!! When booking the “family room” I also requested a cot and this was the room they put us in.. only we were so far away from home we would’ve left there and then!
