Lots to like about the hotel but doesnt quite hit the 5 star button

Liked: Bedrooms have high ceilings with a lot of light and are spacious with big comfortable beds and good bathrooms with a large power shower and big bathtub. The spa is excellent. As is breakfast.
Disliked: Feels a bit too much like a Hilton around the edges to be a real 5 star hotel. Check in is at 4pm and they really struggle to have your room ready by 4pm which is not OK for a 5 star hotel. Ive stayed there a few times and they always ask me at check in whether its my first time in Beverly Hills. A welcome back to the hotel might be more appropriate. As might getting my room ready by 4pm for a repeat guest.

Very luxurious stay

Liked: Everything was comfortable. The bed is amazing and the water pressure is excellent. The curtains fully shut to offer a pitch black sleeping situation (important). Cleaners come at appropriate times. The hot tub is nice.
Disliked: The pool and hot tub close way too early. There needs to be some time with no kids at these rates! Also, the iPad didnt work. And the elevator basically takes you to the lobby if you dont swipe your card fast enough.
