Lovely stay, would stay again...

Liked: The upgrade to an ensuite room was a pleasant surprise! Enjoyed the pool and music bingo as well as the restaurant and beach close by
Disliked: The constant noise from jackhammering for the bathroom renovations

Very good

Liked: Loved the morning yoga, pool area, and nearby beach!
Disliked: Location is quite out of the centre but shuttle is convenient and efficient. Would have been a nice walk to the centre during the day but it was raining during my stay. The main issue is when you go out in the evening you need to uber back, where as all the other hostels where walkable distance from the shuttle. There weren't many social activities during my stay but that could have been due to the weather

Fine but probably better hostels...

Liked: The hostel events and drink deals were good and the staff were all really friendly. The nearby dog beach was lovely. They also accommodated a private room for us which was nice. Shuttle bus to the town is handy but the last one is quite early at 9pm, even on weekends.
Disliked: The room is very damp. There are no facilities to hang out clothes that is protected from the rain. All of my clothes, bedsheets, and belongings constantly felt wet. Even after washing my clothes I have to throw some of them out with the damp smell. Also lots of construction work going on (noises, reduced facilities, etc). The kitchen area only had 4 small tables for the entire hostel which was not nearly enough. The second kitchen was being renovated too so there was a general lack of facilities which meant we couldn’t avoid our damp room. Maybe this wouldn’t be a major issue in the summer.

Wake up is fantastic especially...

Liked: The location was amazing. Right on the beach but also close to town. The beach in front is literally filled with people from the hostel and people walking their dogs and that’s basically it- so good! The hostel itself was well set up, clean and the staff were super friendly!
Disliked: My only downfall was the kitchen area to sit and eat wasn’t very big- so during peak times it was hard to find a seat. Also no common room which meant during the wet days you either sat in the kitchen or in your room. Everything else was 10/10
