Liked: Absolutely stunning property- both inside with incredible decor, finishings and a consideration of small details and warm touches that made us feel really considered, as well as the beautifully maintained outside grounds.
Disliked: Nothing to note. We just wished we could stay longer!

Liked: As always - thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hosts Bryce and Ann were welcoming, friendly, interesting and made sure all the guests were provided with everything they needed. The location is beautiful and would suggest visiting in April for the magnificent tree colours - grounds so well maintained. Wonderful choice options for breakfast. Recommend plus, plus. Thank you for our stay.

Liked: The Homestead exceeded all expectations! Ann and Blythe went out of their way to make our every comfort. We had the 3-course dinner which was better than any restaurant meal we had in Queenstown, and they made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. The photos do not do it justice - it’s the most perfect stay.
Disliked: Wish we stayed longer!

Truly exceptional

Liked: The hosts were wonderful. We arrived after a long drive and were offered a delicious glass of wine as we relaxed in front of a crackling fire. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Huge selection of homemade foods. We wish we had planned to stay longer.

Beautiful location but don't choose...

Liked: The location was superb! However we booked the "queen studio" which is a separate building to the main house. The space is probably a converted shed or garage, quite narrow with no luggage storage space. There was a musty/damp smell on entering the room, and there were 2 heaters on, I'm guessing to keep the damp at bay. The bed is against the wall, so access from one side only, and is raised so high that a wooden step is required to climb into and out of it. Someone with disability issues would definitely struggle. The breakfast was included, however you make it yourself from the items provided (eggs, bread, yogurt, fruit, muesli etc) which was fine but unfortunately by the second day the bread had begun to grow mould.The owner never came near us on the two days that we were there so we were unable to give feedback directly. So be careful if you're booking this place! The reviews for the house itself look really good, so I'd recommend you stay in the house.
