Liked: The architecture was great.
Disliked: The rooms are too small compared to the photos on the website. The rooms are situated between floors so there is a bit of walk up or down depending on where you are given a room. There are no views unless it’s a suite. The city centre is a bit of a walk. Compared to rooms in Queenstown and Auckland, this was expensive given the tiny size and the location.

We paid for a suite...

Liked: Loved the old elevator and appreciate the renovation to the old building.
Disliked: The staff. The staff on check in were lovely and that’s where it stopped, the gentleman who served us at checkout was particularly unfriendly. Not a smile at check out and when he arrived with our car, didn’t offer to open the door or help load many bags into the car. We also couldn’t get a drink or anything small to eat from the bar until 5pm. I would have expected with accommodation like that you could get bar service like many accommodation options offer.

Liked: Great location , easy to find the sit center from and easy to drive to aswell
Disliked: I do not have a single bad thing to say , it’s an incredible place to stay .

Adequate accommodation does not match...

Liked: Great staff
Disliked: Small room - hard to move around room and lack of storage for luggage. Bathroom compact - shower had poor drainage flooded floor, little space to unpack toilet bag.Bed had unsupportive mattress. Facilities do not match 5 star status

Liked: Everything was great. Staff were friendly, room was beautiful.
Disliked: Nothing
