Liked: Review for the XL room. Very spacious room, main bed is very big. Had the version with both a shower and a bath which is appreciated for a family of 4 (and dog). The staff is available and helpful and everyone is very dog friendly. The hotel is well maintained, big, has a cool rooftop, a decent continental breakfast with very good bread and Dutch touches (poffertjes…)The lobby has both a big bar/cafe area with quick breakfast bite offerings and a separate big work area for digital nomads.The hotel has an outdoor parking decently priced for Amsterdam
Disliked: This is a very very “hip” hotel which also hosts many trendy happenings, which is fine. However, this carries over to the rooms which go a bit too far in the industrial hype at the expense of comfort : very poor lighting in the room to keep a “moody” ambiance, our room is huge but we could only lounge on our beds because the only additional seating are 2 school stools and a school chair, all useless for hanging out. The room is more than big enough for a small sofa and 2 real lounge chairs. There is not even a coffee table for the 4 people of the room to lounge around and/or have coffee together or takeout food.The metro stop is on either side of the hotel.A big supermarket as well and a good baker A few nice brunch or dining options close by but the neighborhood is not generally a restaurant area

Liked: Great location. Relaxed atmosphere but very well-managed and efficient at the same time. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful when we had questions about getting around town. We loved the convenience of renting bicycles from the hotel.

Liked: We loved this hotel. It was a fantastic value for the price. Previous reviews had stated loud music from the basement throughout the night, but we were on the 1st floor and had no problems with excessive noise throughout our stay. The cafe in the lobby was perfect for a quick breakfast. The sauna and view from the roof were incredible. Highly recommend.
