Disliked: Very over priced for what you get!I travel for work a lot and stay all over Europe and this at £170 for 1 night was not worth it!Really run down old buildings and rooms that have just been tarted up.

IHG need to invest and...
Liked: Our room 351 was huge, but
Disliked: Needs a full deep clean. Needs new carpets, new mattress, better windows, new towels, probably better management. The whole place is filthy, there is a thin film of greasy sticky dirt on just about everything. Our towels were destroyed, ripped, and paper thin. The bed was super large, but the mattress was shot, the pillows lumpy. The carpets were disgraceful, with huge stains everywhere. Bathroom passable clean. Windows that only open about 10cm and ours opened onto the roof vents so we got a constant stink of fried chips etc coming from the kitchen. Rooms were dark and dingy, and just generally a very over used, under cleaned business hotel. Oh and the AC doesn't work so on a night of 26c it was boiling in the room.

Perfect location for Solihull, clean...
Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The choice at breakfast was good.
Disliked: As we were arriving through the main doors,staff members were having issues with a drunk and abusive man. Although he was dealt with quickly it would have been better if they could have escorted out some other way as it was a very bad first impression on arrival. That said, the gentleman in reception was extremely apologetic and very welcoming. The only other downside was at breakfast. We found a clean table but there were no cups/mugs. My husband asked a member of staff and she said that they should be on the table. He had to hunt around for unused ones on tables that hadn’t been cleared. I found that surprising for a hotel of this standard.
