We had a fantastic time...

Liked: The room was lovely and very clean. Comfy beds. staff were so friendly and helpful. we enjoyed using the spa and the location of the hotel is perfect. we were able to do everything we wanted to do within close proximity to the hotel. we're also surprised to see the hotel is dog friendly. Worth knowing if you're taking your dog away with you.
Disliked: As a coeliac I was a bit disappointed at the lack of choice for breakfast in the morning. Although there were spoons/tongs provided for all the hot foods and fruits, it was clear that some residents were using the same tongs to pick up a variety of item to put on their plates. Also there was no option of gluten free yoghurts/pastries available. I was concerned about the issue of cross contamination

Liked: Very welcoming reception Anniversary gifts of drinks and cakesStunning, world class views across Penarth, Cardiff Bay and City. All enhanced with a warm, sunny weekend. Tyr Y Mor restaurant. 5 star breakfast and set menu evening meal.Attentive helpful waiter service.
Disliked: As a couple we are very keen gardeners.Flower pots placed around this beautiful hotel need planting with summer flowers. They are currently dead or empty.I would kindly suggest management take a look across the bay at The Old Custom House Restaurant entrance. It is enhanced with colourful non stop begonias and various bedding.Perfect for a photo opportunity.

Liked: The facilities, the staff and the service.
Disliked: The onsite parking was full and the public car park opposite was periodically full so there was no garentee of getting a space, Some areas of the hotel were somewhat 'dated' such as the terraces being rusty.

Brilliant and would book again

Liked: The room was lush, we booked a standard double and got upgraded to a master suite as they asked if it was any special occasion which it was my 30th me and my partner were meant to go to London, my car broke down unfortunately so we booked at David’s as a quick back up and it was the best decision we made, my 30th turned out to be even better with the master suite

Wonderful

Liked: The staff, from the reception desk, the walm welcome by the restaurant staff especially the friendly Laureta, the pool, gym and spa staff and overall facilities were amazing
Disliked: Free Car parking
