Enjoyed our stay would stay...

Liked: Loved the quirky buildingThe staff were extremely attentive and helpful.
Disliked: Lack of hair dryer in room

Liked: Rooms and surroundings were lovely. It was very peaceful and the swimming pool was great.
Disliked: The radiator came on at 1am and couldn't be turned off and it was so hot! Also the light on the phone would come on every half an hour which was disturbing

Very good

Liked: What we like the most was the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel and the surrounding area. We will get back there again! And highly recommended!

Midweek Break

Liked: Afternoon tea,and the room had a good view
Disliked: Walking outside to the restaurant and bar,most of the rooms are in building blocks,ok if it don't rain !!!!

Exceptional

Nice hotel, but...

Liked: Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Great swimming pool.
Disliked: Sauna still broken (has been for several weeks). Alcohol is now being served again. Breakfast buffet was empty an hour before finished serving (they did eventually replenish).

Average at best.

Liked: The 3 course meal was incredible and the bed was very comfy. The room was spacious and the restaurant and bar staff were excellent. The chef was fabtastic, cooked the steak to perfection as well as iur poached eggs :) The two gentlemen night staff were very helpful, it's a shame the day staff didn't know what they were doing.
Disliked: Check in was a mess, one new lady with an American accent was on her phone, and then told us we didn't have a booking. After searching for a few minutes her colleague came to help and then it took three people almost 10 minutes to find the booking. It sad because as soon as my title of 'Lady' was spotted they started to treat me differently, but that should not be the case. Everyone should be treated the same. Definitely more training required on Reception/front of house.The spa facilities were not as advertised. The sauna was not working and neither was the themed shower next door. Loose floor tiles by the pool and rust on the communal shower rails at the edge of the pool.There are not set times for adults only.We were unable to get am itemised print out upon check out as the new member of staff who was again, on her phone advised she had not had the training and this would be emailed to us to which it has not. The grounds are looking tired and unfinished in places. A little disappointing, but the yard staff, the comfy bed and the food made us smile.

Liked: Beautiful setting, lovely rustic rooms and great spa! Food was divine - we’d recommend the chateaubriand and parking was very easy
