Liked: Very quiet area to stay, but close to everything! Staff seemed frazzled at times. Still, very pleasant stay.

Liked: The comfort of the beds, the cleaness of the room and the best was offering all the bathrooms stuff.
Disliked: I didnt like the lower floor room, it's fine but not the best for privacy issues because if anyone walks on the side of the street they can see the room very clearly.

Disliked: Didn't like anything during our stay, which was ruined from the first night. In our room there was a humming loud noise which went on all night long, television was not working, I complained about this but it was not rectified, I saw the problem the next morning and sorted it out myself. We complained about the nosie and said we would like to be moved. Reluctantly they agreed to move us. When we arrived back at the hotel it was around 2.40, we were told the room was not ready and wait in the bar. We were there for so long we went to reception, which was quite chaotic, and they said the room was now ready and gave us the key.Breakfast was a terrible experience, everything on the buffet which shouild be hot was all cold, The bathroom was very poor, mould on ceiling and bath all chipped and marked. The next day was the final straw, as when we returned to our room the door was open, housekeeping had not shut the door and had also left their key in the room, I was fuming over this, the room was left open for anyone to walk in. Luckily we did not have any valuables in the room, mostly jewellery which I was wearing during the day.

Liked: The gardens were beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and good view.
Disliked: There is no laundry room, although it may miswrite on booking.com, and there is only a laundry service which is outsourced. There are many steps indoors and out, which made it a bit difficult for us with pushchairs.

Liked: Location very convenient for The Playhouse theatre and local bars and restaurants.
Disliked: First room we were allocated was in basement. Very strong smell if damp. Black mould on wallpaper under very dirty window. Drab, tired, dingy room. Stained carpet, wallpaper & curtains. Very unhealthy and cannot believe a 4* hotel lets out rooms of that quality - more appropriate to a 1* or 2* hotel & certainly not worth the money. Staff moved us to a different room when we complained which was adequate but decor tired and room in need of a refurbishment. Very disappointed given this is meant to be a 4* hotel.
