Beautiful restaurants, the standard rooms...
Liked: The view from the top floor.
Disliked: Lack of vegetarian food after confirming reservations with Everdene, the cleanliness of the floor, couldn't walk barefoot. Could make better use of the top floor.

Successfully brings the Virgin spirit...
Liked: Successfully brings the Virgin spirit to a hotel. Great design, attention to detail in the rooms and the service, friendly people, enjoyable common spaces, eclectic without that getting in the way of a relaxing, comfortable stay. A location that works well for both midtown and lower. A nice room to be in. Safely opening windows even at high levels. 'Sea view' room is slightly playfully labelled, as it was sure to be given the location, but you can indeed see the 'sea' around the Statue of Liberty.
Disliked: Air conditioning has no quiet setting with less fan, so noisy for sleeping with.

Comfortable rooms and fabulous views
Liked: Great hotel in decent location in Nomad. Rooms are bigger than many in New York, and are stripped to the bare essentials - no excess furniture or gizmos taking up the space - while still being comfortable and stylish. The dressing area layout works very well and the lounge-bed is cosy. On the higher floors, views are superb; we were entranced by the views directly out to the Empire State Building and could see all the way to Times Square.
Disliked: Location felt a little sketchy - lots of cannabis shops nearby which made for some challenging conversations with the kids :-0
