Whether it’s post-gig burgers or early morning coffee, you’re covered. There’s no in-house bar or room service, but that’s part of what keeps the price down.

Many say it’s a great base for a weekend of music and exploring Manchester, and it’s especially popular with travelers who want to stay near Piccadilly Station.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention the rooms are on the smaller side and the décor is a bit basic—but most agree it’s clean, comfy, and a good value. If you’re expecting luxury, this isn’t it—but if you just need a solid place to sleep after the show, it delivers.

The Bottom Line

Ville Hotel is a budget-friendly choice for concert-goers who want to stay central, sleep soundly, and save their money for merch and music.

Unexpected bad experience

Liked: It's a nice location.
Disliked: First of all, instead of the twin room, we were provided with a small double room. I requested twin room when I booked my stay in the hotel because I can not share a bed with my 17-year-old son. The room was tiny but contained a double bed and single sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable (bumpy). My son struggled to sleep there (luckily, we stayed only 2 nights). There was a lack of facilities : a hairdryer and toiletries. When I asked the receptionist to provide me with the hairdryer, they couldn't because they didn't have a spare one. I struggled to dry my hair as the room didn't have a proper window for natural ventilation. The worst thing was that the room was in the basement, so both my son and I struggled to get fresh air. The room was stinky with the smell of severage (strong smell of pee from the corridor). There was no information during booking that this hotel has rooms in the basement. If I knew that, I would never have booked it. It was also very noisy at night. In addition, there was no housekeeping at all.

VILE HOTEL NOT VILLE

Liked: Only slight positive is the location is central.
Disliked: This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are FILTHY. I understand why in the terms and conditions they ask you to sign before entering states if you ate unhappy with your room you have 10 minutes to check out and get a refund. Unfortunately we couldn't find anywhere else and had traveled 5 hours to be there so couldn't go home. The room was full of dust, dirty bedding, milk spilled and dried in all over the table. Cereal lying on the floor, cigarette wrappers, hairs everywhere. The bathroom was disgusting but the TOILET was clean (useful to know for later). The room had a fan which was unusable to the dust collected inside it. The windows did not shut so the noise during the night was unbelievable. Anyway.... it got worse. We had an activity booked straight away so decided we would just need to go buy cleaning things and deal with the room. We left at 15.30 and returned back at 21.20 to find human POO in our toilet. Someone had been in our room, used our toilet and not flushed it. 1 this is absolutely disgusting and 2. Its a huge safety breach as all our belongings were in our room. This tipped me over the edge. One of our party has an extreme immune disease and another is pregnant the hygiene in this place is unacceptable. We asked to speak with a manager explaining the situation, no one would help. The staff member said he had been in our room dropping in a new duvet but did not use the toilet. He said he would check the CCTV, I asked to see it as I KNOW someone has been in our room. I have evidence of all the above. No one was interested in helping they would not refund us to check out and completely ruined our stay. What was supposed to be a nice quiet celebratory weekend ended in us all taking unwell from the absolute state and filth of this hotel. DO NOT STAY!!

Great hotel in a lively...

Liked: This is the second time staying at this hotel. The room was smaller than the previous stay but never the less it was comfortable, well decorated and mt all my requirements. The hotel is situated on Canal Street in Manchester and is ideally placed for places to eat, drink and not far from the man hub of the city should you need to go shopping. The Train stations are not too far away as Manchester Piccadilly is less than a 10 minutes walk and Manchester Victoria is just around a 20 minutes walk. Ideal if you want to be around the most vibrant area of Manchester. Te staff upon arrival were very friendly and when asked for recommendations for where to eat they had a good knowledge. The hotel is a great place should you want a night out as it's in the hub of one of the liveliest areas of Manchester and with a 24hr reception there is always assistance should it be required.
Disliked: The only issue I had was that my room had the air conditioning unit under my window and even when the windows were closed it was still a little noisy, other than that had a great time.

Good

Liked: Very good location, easy access to the city center, the local buses and the train station, mainly quite with exceptions at night on weekends, but this is more on guests manners than hotel staff. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked: this is a green property which is great, and it means that they only clean the rooms and change the towels upon request, unfortunately they don't properly inform about this at check in. A notification somewhere in the room that guests should ask the reception when there is need for cleaning would be useful. Also, for guests who stay for longer periods, the hotel should at least take care of the trash in the rooms on daily bases.
