Liked: They use mattress toppers to cover worn out mattresses so nothing went well here, what a disgrace.
Disliked: How dare you put us in a room where the bed has a topper for a mattress, that is totally unacceptable. Trying to save a few pennies from replacing a worn out mattress you use a topper on the bed which are just horrible to sleep on. We were also in the worst room in the hotel with a view of a wall with aircon units on it. Do not book room 130 or any around that number.The most important part of any hotel is the bed, everything else comes second to this, if you can't get the beds right then you don't deserve to be in the hospitality business, and we will not be staying with your hotel group again as to be honest its not the first time we have had issues.I expect If I get a reply now it will be along the usual lines of sorry we did not meet your expectations etc etc, well I think when I pay good money for a room the least I can expect is a bed with a mattress.

Excellent base for Cranmore Park

Liked: If you're familiar with one Village hotel, you're familiar with most in my experience - there's always a very good standard - welcoming member of the team to help with the self-check in if you need it, a decent sized clean room with a comfortatble bed. There are also very good on-site facilities - gym/pool, bar/restaurant and a coffee shop - though Starbucks wouldn't be my preferred option. The team in the restaurant were all very nice and the food was good, including the breakfast included in the room rate. All in all, you can't go wrong for a short stay. This time, the Village was base for an event at Crnamore Park - extremely handy at less than a 5 minute drive away.
Disliked: Not a complaint, more of an FYI, but there's some construction work going on, so there's a reduced amount of parking closer to the hotel. And the only thing I spotted in the bathroom was a bit of condensation mould on the ceiling, so it just looked a bit tired.

Allround good stay.

Liked: Clean Friendly comfortable beds. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Friend got majorly injured on the bed, stabbing her toe on the bent out bed legs. Really bad design! Not enough tea/coffee and no fridge! Breakfast at weekends need to start at 7!
