Disliked: Room Cleanliness was poor we had to have the staff come and clean the bathroom, It was very busy and was difficult to get a table in the restaurant. We ended up having to eat off site

A friendly and welcoming hotel...

Liked: The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are great- we enjoyed having a swim in the lovely pool. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and helpful.
Disliked: Unfortunately when someone in the room above had a shower water dripped through the light fitting in our bathroom. Obviously this is unsafe but the dripping noise kept my daughter awake,

Right hotel in right place...

Liked: Comfortable room, food available when we needed and good choice. Friendly staff, good location for our needs.
Disliked: Not a fan of self check-in after a 5 hour car journey but lady on reception did it for me.

We had an enjoyable weekend...

Liked: Good location, easy to find and plenty of parking. Very convenient for East Lancashire Railway which we had arranged to visit with friends over the weekend. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Breakfasts were good.
Disliked: There were large events on at the hotel on both evenings of our stay. Whilst the hotel is sufficiently large to cater for big events, it did mean that our much smaller group of 12 was rather neglected in the restaurant on the one evening we chose to eat in. Staff were pleasant but very busy. We waited a long time for our drinks and our meals and food was a little disappointing.
