The Spotlight on Village Hotel Maidstone

Modern Comfort by the River, Minutes from Maidstone's Music Scene

Village Hotel Maidstone blends contemporary style with a relaxed vibe, set just 328 feet from the scenic River Medway and only a 5-minute drive from Maidstone's town center. With direct access to the M20 motorway, it’s a convenient launchpad for fans heading to gigs across Kent and even into London. Expect free WiFi, on-site parking, and a welcoming atmosphere whether you're in town for one night or a weekend of live music.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel hits the sweet spot for gig lovers: it’s close to Maidstone's venues yet tucked away enough for a quiet night’s sleep after the show. The on-site Village Pub & Grill stays open for relaxed late-night eats, while the 24/7 gym and pool are a bonus for early risers or post-show wind-downs. Flexible access to the motorway means you’re never far from the action, and late check-in from 3:00 PM works well for those arriving just before the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends road-tripping for a gig
- Solo travelers checking an artist off their list
- Couples making a romantic weekend out of a concert
- Fans seeking a calm recovery space after a loud night
- Budget-conscious music lovers who still want modern comforts

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Village Pub & Grill serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily — ideal for pre-show fueling or post-concert snacks. From fresh fish to indulgent desserts, there’s something for every appetite. A Starbucks café on the property means coffee is never far away, and you can grab a bite or a brew before heading out. While 24/7 room service isn't available, late dining options keep you covered after curtain call.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music, you're only minutes from Maidstone’s vibrant nightlife — including pubs, live music venues, and clubs. The on-site bar is ideal for a quieter drink, offering a chill spot with local beers and cocktails. Whether you're ending the night or just getting started, you won't be far from the action.

What People Say

Guests rave about the clean, modern rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location near the motorway. Many mention the comfortable beds and appreciate the Sky Sports access in-room for downtime. The leisure facilities, especially the gym and pool, are a hit with those wanting to unwind before or after a show.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the gym and pool access comes at an additional cost, and a few mention that rooms can feel a bit dark. While it’s not smack in the middle of town, most agree the easy drive and parking make up for it.

The Bottom Line

Village Hotel Maidstone offers a relaxed, well-equipped home base for concert-goers who want comfort, convenience, and a smooth post-show wind-down.

Terrible

Liked: N/a
Disliked: The rooms have no air conditioning and on 21jun2025 the weather was 31degrees, the staff were unaware of the health and safety and the significance of the rooms being so,so hot. You couldn’t open the window and the fans provided made very little difference. The accessibility room for disabled people are inadequate for a disabled person. The toilet, bed and seating was too low. The staff did not have the training, knowledge or skills to advise on the accessibility room on the telephone nor could they provide any assistance during the visit. I would not recommend the hotel for an overnight stay for anyone.

Sweltering even with fans....

Liked: Swimming pool nice and gym was also big with good variety.Breakfast was ok. Not much juice selection, just the one.
Disliked: Room was in the 30°c and above. Far too warm and too little ventilation. This is unacceptable in a modern hotel and needs to be sorted. We both hardly slept due to the temperature.
