Decent enough, a little shabby,...

Liked: The location, the large room, the comfy bed, the staff!
Disliked: Lots of staining on carpet and sofa, absolutely no where to hang towels (zero towel rails), only 1 towel in room on check in.

Nice Hotel and staff, avoid...

Liked: Very helpful hotel staff, nice pool and clean room
Disliked: The breakfast is so bad, how it's not included in the price of the room when it's that bad is such a down side of the hotel. It's the last thing you remember when you leave, even for the discounted price of £12.50 (DO NOT PAY £17.50 - discount available in the room) I wouldn't feed that to my dog - zero choice (can't even manage 2 types of egg), uncooked sausages, dry bacon, hard waffles from a packet and coffee from a machine. You get better breakfast's in Travelodge, couldn't be worse when you're meant to be a premium brand!

Liked: Bathroom vent was dusty, it means it had not been cleaned for a whileTHe Car park was good until i notice that i had to pay for it if it was during the week. so I definitely wont be coming back, not during the week anywaythe room was spacious but there was AC in the room, a staff gave us a small fan that was covered in dusty
Disliked: I was over charged for breakfast even though I was advised differently when i checked in. I was made to pay adult price for my 3rd child - which made no senseElectric charging for EV cars was out of service with no noticeDespite have limited breakfast i was made to pay excess - there was no harsh brown, I asked for when done egg but it was still running. the cooking guy looked over-work and tired at 10am :) Swimming experience was not great because it was simply over crowded due to spliting the pool into 2 for lesson etc. and the shower facilities was quite old (had a public or council owned facility vibe.

Good value hotel with a...

Liked: The hotel has recently been refurbished so it looks fresh and bright. The staff were helpful.Breakfast is fine. The pool is good.
Disliked: This is the dominant aspect of this review. Our room was uncomfortably hot. We stayed during a period of very warm weather so this was outside of their control but there is no air conditioning and the windows cannot be opened fully to take advantage of the breeze. The hotel provided a fan which helped but we really struggled to sleep. If the weather is going to be warm stay somewhere else.A few more minor points. The bathroom has no towel rail so, apart from a couple of hooks on the door, there is nowhere to put a wet towel. The bathroom is large so why is the toilet tucked so far into the corner that you bang your elbow on the toilet roll holder? The bed linen feels cheap and the pillows are too long to fit on the bed.

Disappointed

Liked: The heat in the room was unbearable. I couldn't sleep well. We only had a small fan and the windows was opening slightly bit. Almost impossible to get fresh air. Cleanliness was something to improve. My 6 years old was very excited to use the pool and he did for 30 mins until the supervising lady spoiled his fun by throwing all the Do NOT ti him and my husband. Do not go on that corridor, do not go in the shower, do not go on the jacuzzi (even if my son went in a jacuzzi many times before),etc. So he asked to leave disappointed. But the huge plus of the place was the food. It was great. Not to be served inside where the noise level was extremely high, but outside was just perfect.
Disliked: Food
