Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans appreciate the 5-minute walk to major venues like the Hydro and the Clyde Auditorium, making it easy to skip the taxi queues. Rooms are well soundproofed, offering a peaceful night’s sleep after the show. For late-night cravings, there’s a Starbucks on-site, and several eateries in nearby Finnieston are within walking distance. Breakfast is available, perfect for recovering after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel doesn’t host live music, its on-site bar has a great atmosphere and serves local craft drinks. Step outside and you’re within strolling distance of Finnieston’s vibrant pubs, cocktail lounges, and late-night hangouts—many of which host their own DJs and live acts.

What People Say

Guests love the stylish modern rooms, the quality of the leisure facilities (hello, sauna and 20-yard pool), and the superb location for concerts. Reviews highlight the friendly staff, clean rooms, and the convenience of on-site parking. Many cite it as their go-to Glasgow hotel for events at the Hydro.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel can get busy around event nights, so booking early is wise. Others note that while the restaurant food is solid, it’s worth exploring Finnieston for more variety. A few reviewers wished for more flexible late-night room service options.

The Bottom Line

Great location, helpful staff but...

Liked: The staff were most helpful, especially Blanche who was serving in the restaurant area. She helped me with a number of things and I am most grateful to her. Thank you, Blanche.
Disliked: The facilities in the room were not good. In particular, I needed a fridge - either a small fridge in the room or access to a larger fridge on the floor. The room was also very dark - lighting was poor in both the main room and the bathroom. This made it difficult to put on make up accurately. There were very few power points in the room. I had to unplug the kettle to use the iron. There were no power points near the beds, just two by the desk and no others. There were only 4 hangers in the wardrobe which seemed insufficient for two people on a several day work trip requiring smart clothes.
