Stylish Stays with Comfort and Convenience in Coventry

Modern, colorful, and packed with amenities, Village Hotel Coventry is an ideal base for music lovers heading to gigs in and around the city. Located in Coventry Business Park, this hotel blends convenience with comfort, offering a vibrant atmosphere, sleek rooms with Sky TV and free WiFi, and a full suite of leisure facilities including a heated indoor pool and gym. With easy access to nearby train stations and close proximity to major entertainment venues, it's a smart pick for concert-goers wanting to unwind before and after the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Whether you're catching a headliner at the NEC or an intimate set downtown, Village Hotel Coventry makes getting there simple. Cranley Train Station is nearby and offers direct stops at the NEC, while the hotel’s business district location keeps it calm and quiet after the music ends. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, giving you enough time to settle in before evening gigs. Plus, with late-night dining and relaxing leisure facilities, it's a great spot to come back to after the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for fun, flexible accommodation with shared spaces
  • Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list concert
  • Couples making a music-filled weekend getaway
  • Fans who prefer peace and quiet post-show (thanks to its business park location)
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want comfort and amenities

Food and Drink Options

You won’t go hungry here—Village Hotel Coventry has several dining options that suit late-night cravings and early risers alike. The Village Pub & Grill serves all-day dining with a menu full of local produce and hearty options, perfect for pre-show meals or post-gig snacks. There’s also an on-site Starbucks for your caffeine fix and breakfast bites after a long night. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, the dining hours are generous, and options nearby are walkable.

Nightlife Options

While it’s more of a wind-down spot than a party hub, the on-site pub offers a relaxed atmosphere with local beers and crowd-pleasing food. For those wanting to keep the vibe going, Coventry’s city center nightlife is just a short drive or ride away, featuring bars, lounges, and occasional live music venues.

What People Say

Guests love the modern layout and comfy beds, with many praising the hotel’s cleanliness and friendly staff. The gym and pool are also highlights for travelers who like to stay active, even on gig nights. Reviewers often mention the hotel’s quiet setting, making it a solid choice for recovering after a loud night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the gym and pool access comes at an extra cost, so be sure to factor that in if you plan to use the facilities. Others mention the location being a bit outside the city center—but that also means less noise and more parking.

The Bottom Line

Village Hotel Coventry is a comfortable, well-equipped base for concert-goers who want modern amenities, a quiet night’s sleep, and easy access to major venues.

Lovely and surprising stay in...

Liked: Room was well equipped, bed super comfortable. I unfortunately had to dash each morning before breakfast time, so I cannot comment on the quality of that!
Disliked: The only problems I encountered was my first room smelled very moldy and mildewy. It was coming from the bathroom. I let the staff know and they moved my room as soon as possible. They were very attentive and apologetic. It didn't have to do with the cleanliness of the room, it was just a basement room that maybe didn't have great ventilation.

The hotel was very convenient...

Liked: I only used my room and no other facilities at the hotel as I was going to a birthday party where a meal was provided. I was also going to a friend’s house for brunch the next day, so I can’t comment on the catering available in the hotel.I liked that the hotel was in walking distance from the railway station at Canley and that there was a bus stop right outside the hotel, which was very convenient for me.
Disliked: Despite having 2 fans in the room, it was still to hot too sleep comfortably, so air conditioning would have made it a much more comfortable experience. (The Dyson fan needed a good dust). There was also a lot of outside noise from a party or function going on in the hotel until the early hours.I was slightly perturbed to see a large rat run along the steps of the front entrance when I returned to the hotel after my night out.
