Liked: Lovely quirky old house. Very eclectic. Perfect spot to watch the ships and yachts in the Solent.
Disliked: Nothing

Very quiet with outstanding views

Liked: Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee
Disliked: There was a leak through the bathroom ceiling

Beautiful location where staff cant...

Liked: Beautiful location, our room had a fabulous sea view with an added bonus of a walk out balcony. Margaret the owner of the hotel is exceptional. What a delightful stay. Highly recommend anyone considering staying at the hotel.

it’s not a smart chain...

Liked: Clean, friendly- and quirky!
Disliked: could not get the coffee machine to work. no earl grey tea. (tiny glitches in an otherwise perfect stay! )

Character and Hospitality

Liked: We were very well taken care of at Villa Rothsay! Excellent host that helped us plot our days and gave great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The breakfast was both delicious and filling, and we enjoyed dining in the conservatory with the beautiful views over the Solent. The hotel is full of history and character and it's worth taking a moment to enjoy the drawing room and honesty bar to savor an extra slice of old world charm.

Liked: Very characterful little gem of a hotel stuffed full of knick-knacks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Worth getting a sea view room.

A charming place to stay...

Liked: Margaret and her staff were really welcoming, the rooms were super comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. They also allowed us to store our bikes securely.
Disliked: The reception area could possibly do with a freshen up, but this is a really minor thing.
