Villa Inn

If you're in a rush and just need a place to stay the Villa Inn is fine. It's clean and relatively quiet. You really shouldn't expect much more in this price range though. If you're craving something more upscale or stylish, choose elsewhere.

Disliked: Bascially what one would expect in this price range. Very dated and badly in need of paint.

Liked: Welcoming staff, spotless beds, bathroom, fridge, and microwave. Very friendly desk manager, cleaning staff and breakfast staff. Great location for Civic Center activities, groceries, dining, etc. For a budget hotel, we were very satisfied.
Disliked: Carpets could be a little cleaner.

A fabulous restaurant but a...

Liked: The people were very nice. The landscaping around the hotel was nice with a bit of a Tuscan flair. The air conditioner and tv worked well. The location worked well for us as we were just coming out of Muir Woods. And the restaurant!!! That restaurant that is on the property has authentic Italian cooking and was delicious with high quality ingredients! Even the continental breakfast they provided was sparse, but what was there was good quality.
Disliked: Oh boy! The room wasn't clean. The carpet stuck to my feet. The shower had long black hair on the wall. There was very little counter space. The accessible room was accessible in name only, there was barely a ramp that a wheelchair could have even gone up. The lock plate on the door was loose and the door had to be convinced to lock securely. There was no light bulb in the lamp by the beds. The window sills were dusty. Generally not a great room.

Disliked: We booked a room with a king size bed. We got our room and immediatly realized there was a leakage from the restroom and that the room is not suited for guests. After asking to change a room we were moved to another room with a queen size bed, being told that's the only room they had left. No refund/compansation was offered. The second room seemed like it hasn't been maintained for some time. Only a few of the lights were working and the bed was kind of squeky. The shower was not so clean.
