Good
Liked: The hotel is beautiful and most of the staff are kind but some are not.
Disliked: I think the concierge could do a better job. Also the communication was really bad from the beginning.

Remarkable place. Would love to...
Liked: This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are so friendly and attentive yet without being obtrusive and one staff member Michel remembered us from years ago and greeted us like old friends which was lovely. It is a very beautiful hotel and the attention to detail is second to none. The cuisine is outstanding and they have an excellent and extensive wine list. Rose petals are left on your pillows at night by the evening service and there are always little treats in store. The concierge is most helpful and can provide any information or service you require, for example airport transfers, chauffeured driven tours with wine tastings and picnics. There is a spa and swimming pool and beautiful grounds.
Disliked: It is quite a formal hotel in a way - but it is what you make of it. The only thing is if you do not hire a car and walk the 10 minutes into the centre of town it is a very steep little entrance to the hotel and their is a gradual hill to get to there. ( We took advantage of the small shuttle service for under a couple of euros to get back.) It might not be to everyone’s style.
