Set in the Borgo Panigale district Villa Aretusi once belonged to Cesare Aretusi late-Renaissance painter from Bologna. The city center and Guglielmo Marconi Airport are 10 minutes' drive away. Parking is free. The rooms are located in the former barn and come with tiled floors and air conditioning. Each one features a TV free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom with free toiletries. A sweet Italian breakfast is served each morning. Villa Aretusi's restaurant is run by a young chef who has lots of international experience. A meeting and dining room is set in what was once the painter's studio. There is a large garden and a bus stop right outside for connections into Bologna. The property is easily reached from Bologna's ring road and the A14 and A1 motorways. Bologna Fiera exhibition center is 10 minutes away by car.

Liked: Beautiful villa. Comfortable rooms. Clean. Easy access.
Disliked: Not in a walkable area and not much to do around here without a car. Breakfast was mediocre.

Never again.

Liked: Rooms are ok
Disliked: I booked 2 rooms for two nights each, for an employee and myself. One day before the stay, the employee hurt his back, unable to travel. I immediately informed the hotel. I did not get any refund at all, not even a sign of goodwill. I had to pay the full two nights. The hotel manager only said: “sorry, this is our policy”. Sorry it is my policy to avoid with my company this hotel in the future.Btw: breakfast is frugal, even by Italian standards.

Liked: If.you like a quiet neighborhood away from the city then this is your place.
Disliked: If you do not have a vehicle then this is not the place for you
