Liked: This place is an absolute gem. It is a lovingly maintained and remodeled vintage motel. Very clean. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and so friendly. Spent way too much time talking to them but enjoyed every moment of it. We did not expect breakfast from the booking information but were offered a basic continental breakfast of breads, pastries, cereals, juice, fruit, and coffee or tea. Gratis Absolutely will stay there again, if have the chance.
Disliked: The technophile might find this place lacking in usb plugs or Wi-Fi but it had enough for us. The stair access to 2nd floor was a bit hard to navigate so recommend asking for first floor room if you have any issues with mobility.

Liked: Super clean and tidy. Very efficient and price friendly. Bed was super comfy and linens were pristinely white. Nice deep tub for a good soak and nice towels. Great value. Coffee and donuts, cereal and juice for a quick breakfast worked great for us.

Liked: I have a non verbal autistic 3-year-old son who is very energetic especially in the mornings we start our day with some cereal and some applesauce squeezies, my 3-year-old accidentally squeezed one of his applesauce squeezies onto the bed which I attempted to clean up. I got a phone call an hour or so after we checked out and it was the front desk the lady was very rude when she told me I was not allowed back at the hotel because I damaged their property, I was appalled like damaged what do you mean what what did we break? Oh no she accused my son of vomiting all over her beds and that was it! I explained to her that it was an applesauce squeezing my son is three he accidentally squeezed it out onto the bed I'm sorry and she still treated me like crap and told me she was going to take pictures and send them to the police! And that I was not allowed back at the hotel! Wow is all I have to say I didn't realize that the Viking Motel was going to be so against my autistic child making a mess in their room that they would take pictures and ban me from the hotel I promise it was an applesauce squeezy! So no I won't recommend this hotel because the staff is judgmental and verbally abusive made me feel like s*** because my son made a mess who is three bysqueeze!

Perfect stay

Liked: Location for a visit to the college was so close. It was quiet the whole night which was great. It was just what was needed for a 1 night stay and the price was great too. Friendly staff as well.

Good place and good value.

Liked: We loved that it was clean, the people's were amazing and friendly and they had a small Continental breakfast. Pet friendly, they have made it Accessible as they can for the Era, a bit of a challenge if you have a wheelchair, but its only because of the age of the building and they have tried to make it as accessible as possible. I loved the bed, super comfy and great fridge and microwave in the room.
Disliked: It wasn't an issue, but asked what we didn't like it's a bit dated and no coffee pots in the rooms. But it's super clean and they offer coffee in the lobby so it's fine. Worst part is I'm a bit mobility challenged and it would be very tricky with a wheelchair to get in the front office because of the age that it was built.
